Our mission at Dermaclaim is to contribute positively to society and the environment in which we operate, thus, we are proud to present our CSR Project:
CSR is more than an obligation, it is part of our identity and has become an integral part of our corporate culture. This commitment reflects our determination to continue advancing our sustainability initiatives, supporting the community and promoting ethical values throughout our business operations.
Engaging in sports and physical activities play a pivotal role in skin health, with several benefits for the skin. First and foremost, sweating during exercise helps to flush out toxins from the body, which can contribute to clearer and healthier skin. Increased blood circulation, a natural outcome of physical activity, ensures that the skin receives a rich supply of oxygen and nutrients, promoting a youthful and radiant complexion. Moreover, regular exercise helps regulate hormones, reducing stress levels and, in turn, preventing skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
The corporate sector can play a crucial role in promoting sports for the growth and welfare of the social community through sponsorship initiatives. Here, in Dermaclaim, we are proud to invest in sports, contributing to the betterment of society. By supporting local sports teams and events, we try to help in building a sense of community and belonging among residents, together with encouraging physical activity and healthy competition among individuals of all ages. Moreover, this type of sponsorship often leads to the development of infrastructure and facilities, making it more accessible to the wider public.
Dermaclaim has signed a 2-years commitment with the Valencia C.F. Futsal Academy, which collaborative agreement is intended to promote the development of local sports and the prosperity of the youth, since training and education through sports are fundamental for social well-being.
Paper has shaped society for centuries and is considered one of humanity’s most important inventions. However, pulp and paper products can be damaging to social and natural systems along their lifecycle of material extraction, processing, transportation, and waste handling. The pulp and paper industry is among the top five most energy-intensive industries globally and is the fourth largest industrial energy user. This industry accounts for approximately 6% of global industrial energy use and 2% of direct industrial CO2 emissions. The pulp and paper industry is also the largest user of original or virgin wood, with deleterious impacts on both human health and local flora and fauna, including aquatic ecosystems.
Dermaclaim assumes its role in the protection of the environment, through environmental social responsibility, committing itself to minimize the impact of its activities, products, and services; especially through a progressive strategy towards the prohibition of the use of paper in its facilities. Even though it is still early to establish a specific deadline, the goal of the company is to reduce the use of paper at 25 %/year, with a complete prohibition for the period of 2027-2029.
